VSI Tampa Flames PDL travel to Orlando to Take on Orlando City Friday Night E-mail

Thursday, July 12, 2012- BRANDON, FLA – Coming off a 2-0 victory Saturday night and keeping their playoff hopes alive, the VSI Tampa Flames PDL team will travel to Orlando to play their second to last match of their inaugural season on Friday.  Kickoff is set for 7:00pm at the Seminole Sports Complex against third place Orlando City. This will be the second time these two teams have met this summer after settling for a 0-0 draw several weeks ago in Brandon.

Flames tie in last game in season series with the Silverbacks

Saturday, July 7, 2012, BRANDON, Fla. – After a 0- 4 loss and a 0- 5 loss against the perennial powerhouse Atlanta Silverbacks, it would have been easy to write off today’s encounter between the VSI Tampa Flames and the Silverbacks. However, after a strong week of practice, a full squad at Coach O’Connor’s disposal, and home field advantage for the final game, the Flames came out ready to play and were not going to go down without a fight.

VSI Tampa Flames And Ocala Stampede Play To A 2-2 Draw E-mail

Flames finish the season vs the Stampede at 1-1-1

July 5, 2012, BRANDON, Fla. –The VSI Tampa Flames returned home to take on division leaders Ocala Stampede for the third time this season. After two tough losses on the road, the Flames were determined to return to their familiar winning form.   133 fans, including former legendary Arsenal player Ian Wright, gathered to watch the third and final encounter between these two teams on an exceptionally hot day. The Flames lost their first game against Ocala, and won their second game. VSI hoped to put an end to this matter today.

Sunday, July 1, 2012 - JACKSON, MS. – It was a hot day in Jackson as the Heat index reached close to 100 degrees.  After losing to Panama City Beach on Friday night on the first game of the road trip, the Flames were looking to pick up three points against the Brilla and remain in playoff contention.  In the previous meeting between the two teams, the Flames tool a 2-1 victory in a closely contested match.  Both teams are sitting in the middle of the table and need the win to have any hopes of making the playoffs.

Durant High School's Thespian Troupe 5444 Needs Help E-mail

This is pretty simple:  We're the booster club for Durant High School's Thespian Troupe 5444, located in Plant City, Florida.  During the course of the school year, the high school provides minimal funding for the students to put on approximately three shows, and we usually help fund a fourth, and so during a normal school year, four shows are produced by the troupe.

Friday, June 29, 2012 - PANAMA CITY BEACH, FLA- The Flames took to the road for their first extensive road trip of the season making their first stop in Panama City Beach to play the Pirates.  Coming off an important victory against the FC Jax Destroyers and losing to the Pirates by a score of 3 – 0 the Flames were determined to pick up 3 points on the first game of the two game road trip.

Team sets out for four day away trip

Wednesday, June 27, 2012 - BRANDON, FLA- The VSI Tampa Flames will be hitting the road early morning on Friday June 29, 2012 to play two games this weekend.  Both games will be the Tampa Flame’s second match against each team this season. The Flames will be taking on Panama City Beach Pirates and Mississippi Brilla in hopes of gaining six points on the road to put them in second place.

Early Goals Lead To Flames Loss

Thursday, June 7th, 2012 - BRANDON, Fla. – What was Coach O’Connor’s main concern entering the game yesterday, that of coming out flat after a long layoff, came true in the Flames first game in the series with the Charlotte Lady Eagles. Giving up 2 goals early in the first half left the VSI Tampa Flames chasing the game for the rest of the match, a game that was 0 - 3 at the half, and finishing 1- 4 when the final whistle blew.

Alone I stand in a dark room. There are no doors or furniture, just one singular mirror. The mirror begins to shine as if there were lights shining through a window.  I step in front of the mirror and I can see a bedroom. It is sort of disheveled with clothes all over the floor and poster covering the walls, a guitar in the far corner. There is a young man standing in front of the mirror, pale skin and dark hair in front of his eyes. For the time, this is my reflection. He moves his hair out from his face and I can tell he has been crying.

Camp Bow Wow Helps Pups In Need

Camp Bow Wow is all about the dogs, from the most pampered of our customers to those less fortunate among our furry friends.

That’s why Camp Bow Wow Tampa South Shore in Riverview, Florida held FIND LOVE ON A LEASH, a dog adoption and fundraising event, for several area rescue groups that help find homes for strays and abandoned dogs. The event was held Saturday, April 28th, 2012 from  10 AM – 2 PM.
