Undernourishment and malnutrition are serious problems for America’s growing 65+ population. The American Dietetic Association has reported that more than 1 in 2 seniors in the care of others are at risk for under- or mal-nutrition. And the Mayo Clinic has estimated that under- or mal-nourishment afflicts more than half of all seniors at home.

Just recently, in August, we won the inaugural Tampa Bay Amateur Baseball League Championship at Tropicana Field.

TeamFLC Lacrosse-Newsome Lacrosse Club becomes part of the TEAM

Newsome Lacrosse Club was formed in 2003, with the opening of Joe E. Newsome High School, in Lithia, FL. The Lacrosse Club was much like the Chess Club, Debate Club or any of the other Clubs at the School; they are "student driven". The Students find a faculty sponsor, organized the club, look for members and meet once a month to discuss their interest in lacrosse. In 2005, the Lacrosse Club's founder and President, Casey Colton, graduated from Newsome and the Club's faculty sponsor had passed away, so the Club ceased to exist.

A Kid's Place

A community Initiative of Kids Charity of Tampa Bay and Bella Garden, are working in partnership to collect clothes, food, school and other supplies for their new facility located right here on Lithia-Pincrest Road in Valrico. A Kid’s Place is a unique, state-of-the-art, 60 bed facility for abused, abandoned and neglected children and will provide multiple child & family services.
