FishHawk Wolfpack Junior Midget North Game of 9/4/10  E-mail
Written by Bob Kalle
The Wolfpack played the East Manatee Bulldogs on 9/4/10. The running game was led by David K. and Brad J. They had installed a new offense during the week and they grounded out a few first downs but errors stopped the drives. The offensive line of Brady H., Hunter K., Victor P., Kyle P., and Gabe W. worked hard to lead the charge. The Bulldogs were stopped except for a few big plays that led to scores. The teams were both scoreless in the second half. The Wolfpack played hard right to the end. We will be working hard during the next week to get ready for the next game.

The Wolfpack played the New Tampa Patriots on 8/28/10. The game began with Brad J. intercepting a pass on the first play from scrimmage. The offense led by Tommy R. and Antonio E. drove the ball down inside the 5 yard line only to be denied. The defense led by Devyn W., Kyle P. and Nathan G. held on the next series. The quarter ended a 0-0 tie. The team struggled as they had a couple of punts blocked and fumbled the ball a couple of times.  However, the players showed a great deal of heart as they finished the game. They are looking forward to improving in the next game.

The FishHawk Wolfpack Junior Midget North team began their season with a jamboree game against the South Shore Longhorns. It turned out to be a bit of a long day as it rained off and on and had a lightning delay. Once the game started the weather held off enough to get the game in.

Junior Midget North- Week 2 Report  E-mail
Written by Bob Kalle
The FishHawk Wolfpack Junior Midget North squad finished their second week of practice and their first week of hitting in pads. We were lucky to not have any rain-outs during the week.  All the players worked hard trying to get in hitting shape and learning the offense and defense. There is a lot to learn, and many of our players are new to tackle football. It takes time to take 5 new coaches and 27 new players and get them on the same page.

FishHawk Wolfpack Mighty Mites game of 9/19/09
Written by Laurie Conover

It was a tough game on Saturday!  Our boys were intimidated by the Pirate's reputation.  That team certainly didn't play by the book either but the Wolfpack Mighty Mites Blue played tough to the very end.  By the second half, the boys finally realized that the Pirates weren't any better than them.  The defense stepped up their efforts and shut the Pirates offense down completely and not a single point was scored in the second half of the game!  Coach Croley said that this was one of the best games for our offense.  They really moved the ball!  It wasn't a winning score, but our boys won in sportsmanship by playing clean and acting like true athletes.  Final Score of Game #4 was 20 to 0!!

On September 12th, there was another great game at The Fishhawk Wolfpack home field.  The Mighty Mite Blue Team played against their brother team the Mighty Mite White Team and the game was played in the pouring rain.  Our team played a great game and each boy had a hand in maintaining our 6 point lead until the last 19 seconds of the game when the Mighty Mite White Team came from behind and scored a touchdown to tie up the game. The final score was 12 to 12! All the boys played well in tough conditions, so congratulations to both teams.
