Coach John Booth Bio
Written by Bob Kalle

As the 2009 High School Football season approached, Bloomingdale High School hired John Booth to lead the team as the new head coach. Coach Booth comes to Bloomingdale with a great deal of professional experience including time with the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs, NFL Europe's Amsterdam Admirals and the Arena Football's Kansas City Brigade.

Coach Booth played high school football at Manatee High School, a well known program in Florida. He went on to play at Mid America Nazarene University where he was an NAIA All-American, a first team All Conference, an Offensive Conference Player of the Year, the team Captain and team MVP. He was to serve as the University's wide receiver coach and JV Offensive Coordinator.

Coach Booth will be a member of the Bloomingdale faculty this fall. He intends to use football as a way to help his players build confidence and character for success in their future endeavors.

The team has been working during the off season on their strength and conditioning. From the incoming freshmen to the seniors, the players are taught proper technique even in the heat of a Florida summer. They have a great deal to learn with all the new players and the new coaching staff. Building a successful football program takes time, and it begins with the hard physical work the sport demands.

Coach Booth believes the team is pulling together. Their rallying cry is " Refuse to Lose". We are looking for a great season from the coaches and players. Come on out and see the Bulls as they begin to create a new history.
