Seminole Shut Out  E-mail

TALLAHASSEE, FL October 5, 2013.  Maryland’s one turnover clearly did not make or break the game.  With one touch down in the first quarter, two in the second, three in the third and three in the fourth, it’s no question who won.  Florida State didn’t leave any room for Maryland to score, with only allowing Maryland 9 first downs, compared to Florida States’ 33 first downs.

It’s Time to Give a Different Competitive Sport a Shot

December 13, 2012.  There are plenty of competitive sports including football, soccer, baseball, lacrosse, etc.  One sport that does not always come to mind though, when thinking competitive sports, is paintball.  This is a pretty popular recreational sport for team building, organizations and friends to go play.  There are many fields around the Tampa area for recreational fun, but there are also many official teams that do this sport daily!

The Florida Gators Put Another Win On Their Belt Against Rival Florida State  E-mail

TALLAHASSEE, FL. December 6, 2012.  The Florida State Seminoles, going into the game (4-3), hosted the Sixth ranked Florida Gators (6-0) Wednesday night, December 5, in the Sunshine Showdown.  These teams have met 63 times with the Gators winning 41 of them.  Florida’s coach, Billy Donovan, has a 4-3 record in Tallahassee, and a 10-6 overall.  The excitement level of the fans was high, like any rivalry game, as all 10,593 people filled the Donald L. Tucker Center.  Among the fans was Mitch Wiggins, a former FSU player, and his son, Andrew Wiggins, the number 1, 2013 basketball recruit.

The fight between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs was nothing less than a nail biter!  With Georgia determined to win and go on to their first National Championship game since 1982, and Alabama’s diligent drive to return back to the BCS National Championship game and repeat their 2011 title.

Panthers Leave The Eagles Striving For a Win  E-mail

TAMPA, FL. NOVEMBER 27, 2012. Every NFL fan looks forward to ending a stressful Monday with some Monday Night Football.  Even though almost everyone is coming back from a long weekend, this week is no exception!!  Both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Carolina Panthers have faced tough times this season, with the Eagles being 3-7 and the Panthers 2-8.  Both teams came out of a loss last week, and came into the game motivated to improve their record.  Needless to say, the game between the Eagles and Panthers was expected to be an interesting one, because well, both are around the same level, for lack of better words.  And a close game is exactly what we got!

November 26, 2012.  Joining his brothers, Mike Stoops (Former Arizona) and Bob Stoops (Oklahoma), in having a “Head Coach” title, Mark Stoops has accepted the Job to be Head Coach of the University of Kentucky’s football program.  After 3 straight losing seasons, Kentucky fired their previous head coach, Joker Phillips in 2011.

November 25, 2012.  It was an amazing blue-sky day for the rivalry game of The Florida State Seminoles and The University of Florida Gators.  Who knew the bright blue skies would be a foreshadow of the color of the fans jerseys left in the stadium celebrating their victory.  The Gators took back their pride, with a win over Florida State 26-37.

Thanksgiving is a time that brings families, friends and old rivalries together.  All enjoy a delicious turkey, sweet potato casserole, stuffing and don't forget the cranberry sauce!! But in the South, it also brings a unique group of Seminoles and Gators together, for a rivalry that is always a show!  This year, Florida State Seminoles will host the University of Florida Gators for an exciting game that should stuff the stadium as much as the turkey.
