Gators Chomp On The Noles  E-mail
Written by Lauryn McCreadie

TALLAHASSEE, FL. November 25, 2012.  It was an amazing blue-sky day for the rivalry game of The Florida State Seminoles and The University of Florida Gators.  Who knew the bright blue skies would be a foreshadow of the color of the fans jerseys left in the stadium celebrating their victory.  The Gators took back their pride, with a win over Florida State 26-37.

Time for Conspiracy Theories  E-mail
Written by Ryan Butler

A striking trend has become apparent for the 2009 Florida Gator football team.  They do just enough to win, look inconsistent on offense and leave everyone waiting for “the real Gators” to show up.

Fans thought they had that in Jacksonville. Florida rolled the Bull Dogs, and most importantly, looked like a competent team throwing the ball.

But this week, Florida reverted to their Arkansas/Tennessee/Mississippi State selves.  The offense was again frustrating in its ineffectiveness and mistakes. Yes, they won by 24 points. But their opponent presents an asterisk next to any score.  Every Vanderbilt player, coach and fans (if they have any-there weren’t any to be seen in Gainesville) knows they’re only allowed to stay in the SEC to keep up the conference’s overall GPA (they don’t even have a formal athletic department!). And after a fluke mediocre year last season, Vandy has reverted to their usual last-place season, going 2-8 so far.

Gators, Tebow Show True Identity
Written by Ryan Butler
Like tailgaters needing sunscreen before the World’s Largest Cocktail Party, the Florida Gators football team needed a signature win for the season, lest they slip in the polls behind the gang of undefeateds waiting beneath them.  While some fans in Jacksonville were burned before the end of the day, the Gators made sure they wouldn’t be burned in the BCS. They destroyed Georgia 41-17, proving to both man and computer that they were the best team in the country.

Gator Offense Again Fails to Impress
Written by Ryan Butler

Once again, the Florida Gators are the best college football team in the country. At least, that’s what the polls say. But Mr. Two Bits would not say that the Gators have been playing like the number one team in the country.

UF won a sloppy 29-19 game at Mississippi State last Saturday. The defense held the Bulldogs to just six points and no touchdowns, proving once again that they are among the best units in the country. But MSU’s defense outscored its offense, with Johnthan Banks returning two interceptions for touchdowns.  Both passes came from the left hand of Tim Tebow and were microcosms of Florida’s struggling offense.

Gators Survive Toughest Test (So Far)
Written by Ryan Butler
The Gator football team highlighted their game against LSU from as soon as the schedule was released for several reasons.

As part of Athletic Director Jeremy Foley’s plan to bring the Gators another national championship, and keeping in mind the difficulty of the SEC schedule, he scheduled two of the easiest teams he could in Charleston Southern and Troy.  The games were blow outs of overmatched teams and forgotten shortly after the lopsided wins.
