AlleGriaItaliana Ristorante- is owned by FabianaDragonetti and supervised by Vito Dragonetti and was opened in March of 2014. They are an independently and family owed Italian restaurant that uses traditional family recipes. The Dragonettis have had restaurants in New York and have been in the restaurant business since 1974.
Although they have pizza, their specialties are chicken, veal and fish dishes. They make their tomato marinara sauce from tomatoes from California and it is special. Many of their dishes are sautéed. And all their dishes are made from scratch with a family feel to it. So it might take a few minutes to make. That is the time to enjoy some of their bread and wine while you wait.
There is a feel of a small restaurant in a big city. I felt like I was home in a small intimate neighborhood restaurant. They are growing at a pace that allows them to be busy and at the same time be able to accommodate the guests. Their major source of referrals is through word of mouth. People come to their restaurant from as far away as Sun City Center and Tampa.
Space is at a premium, so they have to shop daily for the fresh ingredients for their meals. This guarantees that everything is fresh.
They have live music every other Wednesday and Sunday. So the experience is to sit down and enjoy a good meal, drink a little and listen to some music. I asked what he thought was their specialty. He mentioned that they have great baked clams and an entrée named Veal Voldostana. That is veal stuffed with Tortina cheese and prosciutto sautéed with Portabella mushrooms in a white cream sauce. Sounds great.
I haven’t been in there to eat. But I just found them recently. I am definitely planning to take my wife there in the near future.
