The United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) was founded in 1968, and currently boasts over 6 million athletes world wide, in 13 different sports.  USSSA's mission is to be the most visibly recognized, technologically advanced, professionally represented sports organization in the world. They are uncompromisingly committed to meeting the needs of teams, coaches and athletes.

The local USSSA office is located right here in the Tampa Bay area.  Tampa USSSA has been hosting baseball tournaments throughout the Gulf Coast area since 2006, and has grown from only 500 registered teams to over 5000 registered teams.  On any given tournament weekend, you can see elite level travel baseball teams being coached by the best of the best, including some former Major League Baseball players, and collegiate athletes.  USSSA baseball championships culminate each year at ESPN Wide World of Sports, where players display their razor sharp skills and leave it all on the field.  These players are scouted and recruited by Division I schools, and regularly achieve success at the next level of their game.

Tampa USSSA also hosts flag football tournaments on a monthly basis, for boys and girls ages 6 and up.  This is an opportunity for many local youth athletes to stay in shape in the off season, and excellent for team-building skills.

Tampa USSSA is proud to announce their inaugural Lacrosse tournament on March 14th and 15th at Skyway Park in Tampa, Florida.   The Tampa Bay Challenge Lacrosse Tournament is open to boys and girls, ages U9-U18.  Tampa USSSA intends to do for lacrosse what it has already done and continues to do for baseball which is to create and sustain an environment for elite athletes to compete against new teams on a monthly basis and prepare them for the next level of the game.  To play in this tournament you must register your team with Tampa USSSA.  Contact the Tampa USSSA office at (727) 216-8088.
