|St. Stephen Groundbreaking for Church and Parish Life Center - December 26, 2014|
|Written by Debbie Kirkland, Assistant Executive Director, Riverview Chamber of Commerce|
An exciting community event is approaching at the end of December. This will be the answer to the prayers of thousands of people in our area: the groundbreaking for a new Church and Family Life Center near the St. Stephen Catholic School on Boyette Road, Riverview! Plans have been underway for years, and now we will see them begin to take shape. St. Stephen Catholic Church will soon move south a few miles, and our ministries to the community will be available to an ever-widening scope.
Ceremonies will take place on the Feastday of St. Stephen, December 26. Bishop Lynch’s representative, Monsignor Robert Morris, V.G. will preside with the ceremonial shovel at 11:00am, and our friends, neighbors, and many associates are welcome to join us for the festivity! (10424 St. Stephen Circle, Riverview on the GPS).
On the Sunday following (Dec. 28), our parishioners and friends are invited to attend Mass at the big tent located on the Boyette Campus at 11:30am (the only parish Mass at that time); we will again celebrate our historic groundbreaking with gusto at 12:30pm! Join our pastor, Rev. Robert Schneider and associate pastor, Rev. Emery Longanga to usher in a new chapter in the community of St. Stephen parish, and a new relationship with our neighbors in Riverview, Lithia and Valrico!
