Not The Happy Ending Gators Hoped For E-mail

MIAMI, FL. September 7, 2013.  While the Miami fans “White Out” was the first blatant mistake noticed as the Gators came out in all white Uniforms, the Gators quickly took over and wrote the book of mistakes for this game.

Looking at just stats of this game, one may think the Gators would have won with twice as many first downs (22/10), 24 more total plays (77/53), well over twice as many rushing yards and over 200 more passing yards.  But when you add in the 5 turnovers and the 5 no score red zone opportunities, it changes the story.  During the first half, UF averaged less than 3 yards a carry.  Not the perfect picture.

Throughout the game, Miami was moving at a fast pace, wearing the Gators out.  While Miami only put points on the board in the first quarter, with 14 points and the fourth quarter, with 7 points, their defense, offense and total execution was just on point for their happy ending with a win over Florida, 21-16.
