When they finished fourth at the national tournament in Indianapolis this summer, the Tampa Thunder had no idea that they had qualified to go to Vancouver this October for the Americas Champions' Cup. Just when they thought that they were going to wind down until next season, they have now been hit with a new challenge, beating the top three Canadian teams!

Owned and operated by military veteran Mark Kopycienski, Floor Techs not only produces the best carpet cleaning you have ever seen, but also provides a wonderful opportunity for other military veterans to start fresh and make a living. Mark’s passion is to provide fellow veterans with a way to utilize their skills, while also providing a needed service to the community.

Fitness Together opened on May 10, 2010. They provide personal one-on-one training for individuals. What sets their program apart from others is that they have private suites so there is complete privacy for the individual working out. The studio is up-scale and fully stocked with all the workout tools needed for any goal. Some of the goals of clients include weight loss, staying in shape, better health and bulking up.  Goals are set for each individual on a personal basis and with the client’s goals in mind. It is important for each client to set the goals to make sure the program is a good fit for him/her. The goal is to help the individual client to meet the goals through the idea of one client-one trainer-one goal. They serve clients from about age 12 and up. They also provide nutrition counseling.

Last month the FishHawk Coyotes Lacrosse Teams completed their second year of competition playing at the FishHawk Sports Complex with another stellar year.  The Coyotes had 4 teams this year and each finished their season with the WFLL Lacrosse Tournament which was hosted May 8th at the FishHawk Sports Complex.  Coyotes teams had an excellent showing as 2 of their teams won the tournament in their divisions, one team finished second and the other team third.

The Blue Wave Swim Team at The Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center is proud to announce that Celi Guzman, Age 9, and Barbara Caraballo, 14 swam extremely well at the Nationals Championship in Puerto Rico. Celi earned 4 gold medals and 2 silver, while Barbara earned 11 gold medals, broke 10 Puerto Rican records and 6 Blue Wave Swim Team Records. Celi is coached by Morag Betz and Ryan Leach, and Barbara is coached by Don LaMont.

June 1, 2010, New Tampa, FL – The Board of Directors of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), one of the nation’s largest women’s associations in the country with more than 150,000 members, has selected Rose M. Saxton, Owner of Urban Culinary Cuisine, as “Professional Woman of the Year”.

The FishHawk Coyotes youth lacrosse program enjoyed tremendous success in its inaugural season playing at the FishHawk Sports Complex last season, and this season is off to a fast start as well.  The Coyotes have enjoyed explosive growth and much support from the community, as they doubled in size this season to 4 teams.
