Public Meeting Feb. 3, 2015 to Discuss Future of Riverview Library E-mail

Hillsborough County has scheduled a public meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 3, to discuss the future of the Riverview Branch Library. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the library, located at 10509 Riverview
Drive.

At 8,000 square feet and 35 years old, the current building is considered outdated and too small for the increased customer use that has accompanied new development in the area in recent years. During the fiscal year 2015 budget process, County Commissioners approved $3.4 million in capital improvement funds toward a project to expand or replace the building.

The Rotary Club of FishHawk-Riverview is pleased to announce the 5th Annual Crawfish Festival will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2015 from 12-4 at the Winthrop Pole Barn area in Winthrop on Bloomingdale Avenue in Riverview. All of the money raised is donated to local charities and scholarship funds. There will be live music and plenty of food, drinks, and activities for the children available for purchase.

BRANDON BALLET 2015 SUMMER INTENSIVE & SCHOLARSHIP AUDITIONS E-mail

Serious training ballet dancers ages nine and older are invited to audition for Brandon Ballet's 2015 Summer Intensive Program.  The intensive is 3 weeks of detailed ballet instruction with an emphasis on technique and additional classes in Pointe Work, Pas de Deux (certain levels), Men's Classes, Character, Jazz, Modern, African, Conditioning and more.  Admission is by audition only, and class sizes are limited; male scholarships are available.  Faculty will include guest Professional instructors, and Artistic Director, Octavio Martin.  The Intensive will run from    June 8-26, 2015, with classes on Monday-Friday.   A special presentation of choreography will be held on the last day of the Intensive.

The Rotary Club of FishHawk Riverview is pleased to announce that it will host the Crawfish Masquerade Ball on February 7th, 2015 at the Palmetto Club in FishHawk Ranch in order to fund local scholarships and local charities.  The Ball will be the kick-off event to the club's highly successful 5th annual Crawfish Festival on April 18th 2015.  The VIP reception will start at 6:00 PM and will cost $100 per person. The gallery reception will begin at 7:00 PM and will cost $50 per person or $75 per couple.  Formal attire and masks are highly suggested.

Eclipse Antiaging Solutions- Donita Brezovar, NP, is bringing new skincare procedures to an already extensive list of services offered at A Peaceful Harbor Day Spa and Salon in Apollo Beach.  Donita has been a resident of Apollo Beach for 13 years.  She is a nurse practitioner and graduate of Vanderbilt University.  She worked in various hospitals in the area caring for premature babies in NICUs, as well as a vein center, and a Medi Spa doing laser hair removal. The technical skills required in those positions have given her the experience to perform intricate and delicate procedures.  The treatments she will be offering at A Peaceful Harbor include procedures designed to treat facial spider veins and reduce facial wrinkles and inflammation.

Effective October 31, 2014, Simpson will step down as President and CEO to assume her new role as Main Street Bartow, Inc.’s Executive Director. The Chamber’s Executive Committee has begun transition planning, both for the long term and on an interim basis, and is searching for Simpson’s replacement.
